Haida Gwaii is a sovereign nation, and it is our privilege to work with the Haida Nation to sustain the health of the island people. Region Information
The Haida Gwaii Primary Care Network (PCN) encompasses all the communities of the Haida Nation. The Haida Gwaii PCN intends to develop the key structural and human resources elements to deliver on the Primary Care Network Core Attributes. Each First Nations community within the Haida Gwaii PCN will self-determine locally led primary healthcare services and delivery models, supported by the Haida Gwaii Primary Care Network Steering Committee.
There are two Primary Care Networks within the Haida Gwaii PCN; Haida Gwaii North and Haida Gwaii South.
The communities that make up both Community Health Service Areas (CHSAs) are:
Masset, Gaw (Old Massett) and Tow Hill on Northern Haida Gwaii;
Gamadiis (Port Clements) and Tlell which are central;
Daajing Giids and HiGaagilda (Skidegate) on Southern Haida Gwaii; and K’il Kun (Sandpit) on Morseby Island.
